No, I’m not Dead

This past week was definately the worst week of the year so far. Granted, we’re only two weeks in. The pain in my mouth has subsided for the most part. Every now and then it gives me trouble but thats what the painkillers are for. The surgeory only lasted about 25 minutes but that was the best sleep I’ve got in months. After the surgeory, I was pretty much out of it. I had to stay at my folks’ house that night to make sure I didnt have a negative reaction to the surgeory. The day after the surgeory (Friday), I was back to eating normal foods but avoiding anything too hard. I was going to attempt to go back to work but I was so exhausted that I stayed home. Slept for about 18 hours on Friday.

My brother and his wife got into town at about 2am Saturday morning. That had to make the drive from Baton Rouge so that Erin (his wife) could go to a job interview with the St. Louis Crime Lab. It sounds like she pretty much has the job as long as her paperwork goes through ok (shes a Canadian citizen). Which would be pretty awesome because then her and my brother would be moving back into the area. (You can see these two in the wedding photo album to the right – once I get it finished).

This week at work, I find out how much my raise will be for the year. Its been hinted that I will really like my raise. I hope so, mo’ money is always good. Alright, be good my children.

T-Day is Here!

So tomorrow (Thurs) I am going to have my wisdom teeth cut out. I’ve never had surgeory before and this is so common now its more of a simple procedure than surgeory. No food or drink six hours before the procedure, I guess thats so nothing comes up when I get naucious from the gas. I tried to tell my boss that I will be back on Friday, in pain or not. However, I was told to stay home and rest up. So, I guess, on the bright side (if you can call it that) is that I only have about five more hours of work this week. And after the weekend, there will be no more pain from these damn teeth. So if you don’t hear from me (via phone) for a few days, its because of the pain.

–EDIT–

Man these drugs are gooooooooooood!

–EDIT–

Scratch that, I’m bleeding like crazy!

Do houses sell at a premium or discount in your city? – Jan. 3, 2006

Do houses sell at a premium or discount in your city? – Jan. 3, 2006

St. Louis is middle of the road but nearly everything is undervalued in Texas. I’m sure this sounds boring to you but here is what this means. Move to College Station, TX and pay an average of 23% less for the same house as the 0% cities.

Example

  • A $250,000 home in Rochester, NY would cost about $272,000 in St. Louis, MO.
  • The same $250,000 in Rochester, NY would cost about $193,000 in College Station, TX.
  • Of course, you know what they say. There is only two things that come out of Texas.

Hey look at that. I think this is my first post that has anything to do with Real Estate. Time for a new category!

Thank God for Maximum Strength Orajel

The pain was, at times, unbearable. Come Thursday, I am getting my wisdom teeth cut out. But I hate to take sick time so I’ll probably be back at work on Friday. Dear lord, I can’t wait for the pain to stop.

Hope everybody had a good and save NYE and I wish you all the best in the year to come. 2006 Resolutions? Get in shape, pay off debt, get promoted. How about you?
