Week 2 of the RABC

Well, I’m still pretty rusty at this whole bowling thing.  But I have learned that I’m no good until pitcher number 5.  After bowling a whopping 512 series last week and establishing a 170 average, I was able to do a little better this week.  By one pin.  That’s right.  I followed up a whopping week 1 with a whopping week 2.  I keep saying bowling is like riding a bike and that you never really forget how to do it.  I hope my skills decide to kick in soon.  Good thing the rest of my team kicked ass, leading us to 5 of 7 points.  Scores for week two:

  • Bob       161  197  107
  • Jen        163  148  164
  • Andrew  121  121  95
  • Me         155  153  205

I present to you, The Rushmore Academy Bowling Club

Last night, wii (i hope some of you get the reference) kicked off the summer league at Olivette Lanes.  When I say wii, I mean the Sherrons, Andrew, and myself; who make up the Rushmore Academy Bowling Club (props to Bob on the team name).  After week 1, I’m not sure why I let myself get talked into bowling on a league again.  Its been roughly six years since I competively used my balls (ha ha) and the rust had definately set in.  Hopefully, its just like riding a bike and my mAd bowling skills will come back to me next week.  Of course, skills don’t really matter when there is much beer being drank.  I mean, the league name is Here 4 the Beer.  I have a feeling we’ll be doing more drinking than actually bowling quality games but I’ll SPARE (just for you Bob) you the details on that.  I can hear all of you saying, “so what the hell did you shoot?”  Well, here is the rundown:

  • Bob       140  112  106
  • Jen        121  164  159
  • Andrew  116  135  101
  • Me         142  149  221
