CALLING ALL CARDINAL FANS

When was the last time you said to yourself, “man, I wish there were more Mets on the NL All-Star team?  Personally, I’ve never said that and I’m not wishing that either.  Granted the Mets are off to a great start this season, I just don’t want them on the NL All-Star team.  Right now, the Cardinals may be represented by only one starter – if he gets healthy – Albert Pujols.  Ok, maybe two if you throw in Carpenter.  Other players that should be there but are trailing in votes, Ecstein and Rolen.  I mean, how can you have an All-Star game without Scott Rolen?  So, all my fellow Cardinal fans, get over to the MLB All-Star game home page and place your votes (up to 25x or something like that).

Rushmore Academy Week 6 Update

FINALLY, a consistent week of bowling.  No shitty game thrown in the mix with two decent games.  Just three good games.  The team did a great job as well.  Andrew, our first year bowler, is drastically improving now that I have broken up his backup ball stye.  Jen rolled her highest game ever at a 199.  And Bob.  Well, Bob has the widest area on the lanes that I have ever seen.  I was 120 pins over average, Jen was 82, Andrew was 71, and Bob was just two under.  We were tied for first place in our division with a 17 -18 record going into this week.  We took 5 out of 7 points for the third week straight and improve to 22 – 20 on the season.

  • Jen            199  150  180
  • Andrew      119  132  150
  • Bob           142  125  160
  • Brandon     244  195  227

On top of having a great night at bowling, my three-day migraine has subsided so thats good news.  And the volleyball season wraps up tonight at 6:30.  It was kind of a disappointing season, finishing in 7th out 8 places.  However, were a new team and only getting better.  Summer league starts next week.

This Week in Review

Well, the vacation is over. 12 days of bliss are now behind me as I push on to my next vacation, which I have no clue when that will be. The vacation ended well though. Monday, Memorial Day, I went to the Cards game with my dad, cousin Chuck, and John. Of course, it was another magical moment for the fans as Pujols hit another game-winning homerun. Tuesday, I went to the DMB show at the Pavillion with Anne, cousin Chuck, my brother Adam and his wife Erin. Seats were Center row R and were awesome (thanks to Jenn for that) and Dave of course rocked rocked on. The majority of the set were older songs, which is good because the new stuff just isn’t on par with the old stuff. So now that I have another concert put away, here is an updated list:

  1. The Wildhearts and The Darkness (’04)
  2. The Green Hornets and The White Stripes (’05)
  3. Audioslave (’03)
  4. The Burning Brides and The White Stripes (’03)
  5. El Monstero y Los Masked Avengers (’05)
  6. Eagles of Death Metal and the Strokes (’06)
  7. G. Love and Dave Matthews Band(’06)
  8. O.A.R and Dave Matthews Band (’04)
  9. Maroon 5 and John Mayer (’04)
  10. Some crappy opening acts and Jack Johnson (’05)
  11. Some Swedish band and Jason Mraz (’03)
  12. The Counting Crows and John Mayer (’03)
  13. The Counting Crows (’99?)
  14. Barenaked Ladies (’99?)
  15. Jesse Malin and Ryan Adams with the Cardinals (’04)
  16. Jimmy Eat World (’02)
  17. Pointfest (’02)
