Coming from the bottom…..

Watch out Untouchables, Rushmore is coming for you.  After an 8 and 20 stint, RABC is 14 and 0 in the last two weeks.  Last night, just happened to be the team’s best week of the season; with Bob, Jen, and Andrew rolling season high, and lifetime high games.  RABC now holds the 3rd highest handicap game in the league, the highest handicap series in the league, and I have the 3rd highest scratch game.  Our record is back above .500 @ 44 and 40, now just five points out of first place.

Last night was an unusual night of bowling.  The opposing team had prebowled, yeah, the entire team prebowled.  Also, Andrew and Jen prebowled.  So it was just Sandbagging Bob and myself bowling on our pair of lanes.  Needless to say, we were done in about an hour but had to wait around until the Texas Hold’em Tourney was over, in case Bob won the pot.  However, while we were waiting, Ted the owner offered us some free practice to pass the time.  So Bob and I continued to practice and continued to drink.  In our third game of practice, I managed to tear the skin off of my thumb.  And I’m not talking about a small blister size tear, I’m talking about a nickel size tear.  Being the man that I am, I wrapped the thumb in tape and kept on bowling.  The booze kills the pain.  Well, I’m done rambling, here are the scores:

  • Jen          138  160  205
  • Andrew    121  181  161
  • Bob         177  164  213
  • Brandon   209  214  170

What up y’all?!

Sorry for the lack of posting lately, I didn’t mean to keep my 5 or 6 faithful daily checkers hangin’. As you may or may not know, St. Louis got it’s ass pounded by some crazy storms on Wednesday night resulting in 500,000 without power. That included my crib. As of this morning, we are still without power. The power actually went out while we were bowling Wednesday night, I didn’t even get to throw one ball. Heartbreaking. Temperatures reached near 90 degrees in the house and past 100 degrees outside yesterday. Needless to say, I did not stay in my house last night. MOST of my friends and family were courteous enough to offer me a place to sleep and shower, but I ended up crashing at Andrew’s since he was the closest to work.

Last night was week 6 of the summer volleyball league. Eager Beavers continue to suck ass in the sand and we were swept again. Record on the season, 2 and 16, which is a 0.111 winning percentage. Suck ass. After the game, we spent the better part of an hour trying to figure out what we are going to do in the fall season to actually when a few games.

Tonight, a group of us are going to the Journey / Def Lepard concert at UMB Bank Pavillion. The place is to pre-party in the parking lot and avoid paying $7.50 for a beer inside the venue. However, the rain gods may intervene on our good time. Chance of rain, 80%.  Satellite imagery provided by Intellicast.

Insane College Dorm Room Prank!

Twelve students at Brandeis used 600 galvanized screws to turn a unsuspecting classmate’s dorm completely upside-down! A must see video!

That is too much damn work for a prank, but I was never an overachiever.

The Return of the Rushmore Academy Bowling Club!

A message from Bob of crackerandcheese.com:

Fuck yeah! All you pretenders had best step back! The RABC is in Full Effect! Taking seven of seven points from the league’s point leaders, these full blooded members of the Brooklyn Zoo return to the realm of winning. Truth be said, we bowled our asses off tonight. Next week, we will not be so lucky, as our averages will rise, much like the temperature when we enter the alley. RPRZNT!!!

We did kick some ass, as Bob and Andrew rolled their best week this season.  Winning 7 points brings us to 37 and 40 on the season.  Before last night, only 9 points seperated the first place team from us.  We’ll catch up with you Smooth as Silk, we’ll catch up.
