Cards give experts the finger!!

experts suck balls

Wow, I wish I had a job that allowed me to suck balls.  8 of 10 ESPN experts have proven to be frickin’ idiots.  Phillips, Olney, Caple, Crasnick, Law, Stark, and Kruk all picked the Tigers in five or six.  Oh and a big FUCK YOU to Neyer for figuring, or shall I say guessing, that the Tigers would sweep the National League Champion Cardinals.  Yeah, maybe the Cardinals were swept by Boston in 2004 but the ‘06 Tigers aren’t on the same level as the ‘04 Red Sox.  Frickin’ moron.  Only Gammons and Ravech have a shot at making their picks.  Of course, Gammons picked the Tigers in 7 and Ravech the Cards in 7 but hopefully it will be over tonight.

Some will say that the Cardinals’ road to victory isn’t deserved.  They will say the Cards played the Padres in the first round who only won 88 games and tied the Dodgers for their divison.  They will say the Mets were missing big stars or some were playing hurt.  And they will say that the Cards were given run support by the multiple Detroit errors.

And we will say, “That is all part of the game baby” with a smile on our face as we’re drowning in the sweetness of victory.  We will say, remember when Pujols, Eckstein, Molina, and Mulder were all laid up with injuries?  Did we fall from grace?  Yes, at times.  But we played the best with what we had and remained atop our division.  We will say, remember when Walt did nothing to acquire big name players before the trade deadline or even in the off-season?  Did we under perform?  Yes, at times but we got the job done.

And I will say, back up off bitches!!

One game to go.  Just one more game.

Who can???   Dun-can.   Word.

duncan

Ok, I know, the Duncan one was a little cheezy.  On to the world series, carried by these unlikely heroes.  And of course, Suppan.  Has anybody seen Chris Carpenter?  Maybe he’ll show up for the WS.  Only four more wins, I don’t care how they come or in what order.  We just need to win 4 of 7.  Let’s go Cards.

Alright Already!

Yeah, I’ve neglected the blog lately.  I’ve neglected a lot of things.  Life is crazy these days.  For those of you who don’t know (even though the two Jenn’s do know), I have again picked up a part-time job for some extra dollars.  I pretty much work every day of the week now and bowl on two leagues.  Also, we still have two weeks left of volleyball.  Throw a girlfriend into the mix and there isn’t a lot of free time for blogging.  My bad.  I will try to do better.

For the past week, I have been on vacation from Commerce.  It wasn’t really much of a vacation since I ended working 35 hours at the second job.  I did however get to do some enjoyable things.  Like having lunch and visiting my favorite shops on Mainstreet St. Charles.  Or spending the afternoon overlooking the valley at the winery.  And taking another tour of the brewery (tried some organing beer called Stone Mills, not too bad).

Last Saturday, Matt and Julie were married at a delightful ceremony followed by a reception catered by Bandana’s BBQ.  How frickin’ awesome is that.  I had the most important role of the wedding (or so they kept telling me), the usher.  Man I look good in a tux.  I will try to get some of the pictures up soon.

The Beavers are having their best season with a 9 and 12 record with two weeks remaining.  My prediction is that we will win two games this week and one game the final week, finishing with a 12 and 15 record.  Both bowling teams are doing well and I am leading the Sunday night league in average with a 211.

There you go, a quick update.  Now your day can be complete.  Oh, and go Cards.
