About two weeks ago, the clutch went on on the focus and after a few days, I was finally able to get it into the shop. They confirmed what I already knew, the clutch needed to be replaced along with the slave cylinder and the flywheel. The repairs would cost me about $1150. After much debate and back and forth reasoning, I convinced myself that the focus didn’t hold enough value to drop $1150 more into it. So I began looking for a new car and was interested in a new corolla, civic, jetta, or xB. After a lot of research and test drives, I finally settled on the 2008 Civic Si. So last Friday, I parted ways with the Focus after 7 years of pleasant driving and took home my new car.
So far, after 3 days, I have no issues. This was a great purchase. It’s sporty, quick, sleek, and fun to drive. It packs 197 horses in a 2.0L VTECH engine guided by a 6-speed manual transmission. This car came loaded with options such as the powered sun roof, rear wing spoiler, chrome performance exhaust system, 17in alloy wheels w/Z speed rated tires, premium cloth interior, and a premium audio system. I could go on but you can read about it here if you really want to. More pics here for your viewing pleasure
