President Obama
Woo Hoo!
Some other election details I feel like talking about this morning?
- Arizona, Florida, and California passing amendments to place a ban on Gay marriage. WTF people, its 2008. Marriage is just a union between two people who love each other. Hell, there is even a guy in Japan who is petitioning to marry a comic book character. I say good luck to him but watch out for those paper cuts.
- Arkansas has passed an amendment that places a ban on gay couples adopting children. Sort of, the amendment states that unwed sexual partners, gay or straight, cannot adopt. But we know what their intentions were with this amendment. WTF people, its 2008.
- It also seems like most attempts to ban abortion or set up abortion limits have been rejected. I myself am limited pro-choice but there is no gray area on this issue when it comes to voting. Its either yes or no.
- Michigan is my favorite state this election as far as amendments go as they have passed two biggies. 53% of the voters voted yes to allowing stem cell research. No people, this does not mean cloning. It means significant medical advancements that may one day save your life.
Michigan also passed a measure to allow the use of medicinal marijuana, which some may see as progress to the overall legalization for common use of this plant. Think of the tax dollars people, think of the tax dollars.
2 months and 17 days left of Georgie.
